I remember going with my father to Salt Lake to visit with his parents. Sometimes we would go on the Orem which was a train that went from Provo to Salt Lake or sometimes we would go in Father's car and just visit with them for awhile and come home the next day. I don't ever remember when my Holbrook grandparents weren't cheerful even if I happened to wet the bed, which was likely. Grandma would just smile about it. My mother just completely smiled about it. Once I brought one of my friends from Provo up to visit. President Grant was the prophet when I was young. He and his wife used to take my Holbrook grandparents for Sunday rides. Perhaps Grandpa never learned to drive a car though he was wonderful with horses. His best friends were his wife and her brothers as shown by the many things he did for them. He would lend them small amounts of money until they had done better in business and then they would pay him back. When Danny was a baby my Holbrook grandparents used to come out to our place and bring things for him because he was such a friendly baby and they had fun playing with him.
