On August 11, 2012, Gloria arranged an openhouse for Mom's 92nd birthday. We enjoyed being a part of that and were pleased at how Mom remembered Bill's knee replacement, seemed happy to see us with some of our family, and told us she would now have to stay alive for another year and half while John and Bonnie and Bill and I serve our missions. Cake and ice cream as well as ice cream sandwiches supplied by Joe we shared and soon Cyndi stopped by as well as Gloria and Dave while we were there.
I have been wanting to add this photo to Mom's blog because she loved it so much that she made copies and we now have one framed and resting on our piano. I first remember seeing it at Grandpa and Grandma Holbrook's home above their piano and often wondered if my young fingers would ever earn flower petals falling from heaven.
I am very much hoping that some family members will add photos from our family reunion with comments about it. Thank you so much for furnishing family photos for Mom to review whenever she likes. We belatedly added the Birtcher ones and got Mom to laugh when she saw Bill and me on a camel.
